Old-fashioned cleaning for classic cars

Old-fashioned cleaning for classic cars

Poll shows more than 70 percent use bucket and sponge

An overwhelming 70.83 percent of people responding to our recent poll said they wash their collector cars the old-fashioned way, with a bucket and sponge.

Another 21.53 percent said they use modern “waterless” cleaners.

However, nearly 5 percent — 4.86 — admitted they simply drive their classic through an automated neighborhood car wash. Another 2.78 percent pay someone to detail their classic.

And now for our next question:

Money is no object (you just won big at the lottery or in the inheritance sweepstakes), which car would you buy? Take your pick in the right-hand column of the home page.
