Interesting Finds: 1965 MG MGB

Commissioned by Simon Cowell

-

Today’s feature on AutoHunter Cinema is Simon Cowell’s 1965 MG MGB Bespoke Series. This car was built by Frontline Developments, a company in England with a focus on modifying MGs with classic soul and a modern heart. The “America’s Got Talent” host specified Lotus Copper Bronze with gold accents and an Arctic White Nappa Leather interior as a nod to the Lotus Turbo Esprit in the James Bond film “For Your Eyes Only.” Power comes from a modified Mazda 2.5 liter four-cylinder mated to a Mazda six-speed manual and a limited-slip differential. This MGB also features tubular upper front wishbones, adjustable shocks and custom six-link rear setup. At the 2023 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction, $68,200 bought this MGB.
