Lot 717.1 is a 1956 DeSoto Fireflite convertible that has undergone a professional frame-off restoration in which everything was new or rebuilt.
The car has a 330cid dual-quad Hemi engine and automatic transmission.
The original paint colors were reproduced during the restoration.
The car also has its Benrus steering-wheel clock — the Desotomatic — that winds itself as the car is steered while driving.
The car is part of the John Staluppi Cars of Dreams Collection.
Barrett-Jackson’s annual Palm Beach auction is scheduled for April 12-15 at the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach.
