Today’s feature from AutoHunter Cinema is a 1971 Lamborghini Miura SV, often referred to as the first supercar. This Miura is 1 of 150 SVs produced, which included a 15-horsepower bump, wider rear fenders (for the fitment of nine-inch tires) and black paint substituted for the headlight eyelashes over the Miura S. Power comes from a mid-engine, transversely mounted 4.0-liter V12, making the Miura the first road car to feature such a layout. This particular Miura SV was originally Giallo Sole (“sun yellow”) before it was refinished in Blu Notte (“midnight blue”) over a light gray interior during a restoration which included an engine rebuild by non-other than Bob Wallace, the ex-Lamborghini mechanic/test driver. At a recent auction, this 1971 Lamborghini Miura SV sold for $3,580,000.
