McPherson College has opened registration for its summer school for car guys (and gals). The college that has educated so many classic car restoration specialists annually stages an Automotive Restoration Institute for post-college aged participants.
Each class runs for 5 days, with classes offered June 8-12, 15-19 and 22-26, 2020, in the college’s auto restoration workshops in Kansas.
Classes include such things as babbitting, paint, sheetmetal, engine rebuilding, 3D design and printing, and this year a new custom seat-building class.
The school adds that this year’s babbitting class may be the last time that class is offered for a few years.
Tuition for each class is $800 and includes lunch each day. Meal plans for breakfasts and dinners are available, as is a dorm-room housing option.
