You likely remember when Heritage Auctions, known for its estate, fine art and jewelry sales, asked Leake Auction Company to handle the sale of The Rolland Collection of racing cars, hot rods and customs. That sale was to have been held in Southern California, but it was postponed due to the fires there late last year; the cars will be offered up for bidding this weekend at Leake’s annual Oklahoma City auction.
But in addition to the collector vehicles crossing the block, the auction in the Bennett Event Center will feature free, on-site appraisals of various collectibles by Heritage specialists Carolyn Mani and Jonathan Burford.
The appraisals of art, jewelry, watches and other collectibles will be offered from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and comes with free admission to the collector car auction, Heritage and Leake said in its news release.
In addition to the verbal evaluations, Dallas-based Heritage will accept consignments for its upcoming Timepieces and Decorative Arts sales. Heritage touts itself as the “world’s largest collectibles auctioneer” with annual sales of more than $800 million and more than 1 million online registered bidders.
