It is powered by a 1.1-liter inline-four with dual Solex carburetors, paired to a four-speed manual transmission. Features include bucket seats, Delco AM radio with supplemental FM transistor, roof rack, and more. Finished in red over a black vinyl interior, this German GM product comes from the selling dealer with show trophies and a clear title.
The exterior has been repainted in Granada Red and is complemented by dual chrome outside mirrors, and wheel opening and rocker trim. The greenhouse features the original German Sekurit glass. On top, you’ll find a roof rack.
Thirteen-inch black steel wheels with chrome-plated wheel covers are wrapped in 165/80 Starfire Flite-Line IV whitewall radials.
The cockpit consists of black vinyl upholstery with bucket seats up front, both of which move forward to give access to the fold-down rear seat. The rear windows are of the pop-out kind. The three-spoke steering wheel lacks power assists. The AM radio features an aftermarket FM converter. During the restoration, a new carpet was installed and the headliner was redone.
Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer, 7,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel and temperature. An aftermarket voltage gauge also has been added. The odometer shows 85,000 miles and is reportedly original.
The standard 1.1-liter inline-four featured 8.2 compression and was rated at 55 horsepower when new. Fuel delivery is handled by a pair of Solex PDSI carburetors. A four-speed manual transmission puts the Teuton power to the blacktop.
This Opel features an independent front suspension with solid rear-drive axle. Manual drum brakes can be found at all four corners. A single exhaust system carries the emissions to the rear.
