To be honest it wasn’t until about seven years ago that I learned about the Nova. You see, I have a friend in the Pittsburg area named Joe Murphy and he just collects Novas. According to Joe it is the simplicity of the Nova that attracted hit to the car along with styling. Because Joe can’t spell the word moderation, as of this moment I think he has five Novas of various generations. In getting to know Joe, I have learned a lot about the Nova as a model, and have come to like these cars for the same reasons he does.

This 1967 Nova has an elegance due to that simplicity of its design. You would not mistake it for anything else but a Chevy product, and it in many ways defines the look of GM cars from the 1960s. It also has a certain lightness in its design that make it seem both approachable and serious at the same time. To me this is the quintessential idea of a 1960s GM muscle car.

The seller describes this 1967 Nova as being powered by a rebuilt 327cid V8 that is backed by a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering and newly installed power front disc brakes. The car is painted in Marina Blue and features a black vinyl interior, and comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

The exterior is described as having been originally finished in a more bland color of Capri Cream (code T). The reportedly rust-free body was repainted in Marina Blue in the late 1980s. Features include chrome bumpers, a fender-mounted antenna, a driver-side rearview mirror, rocker and mid-body moldings, and trunk trim. The selling dealer states that some rock chips, touch-up spots, and thin spots are present in the paint and a driver-side window has a star in it. The car rides on a set of Chevrolet Rally wheels wrapped in radial tires. Overall the photos and pictures of the exterior make this look like a very nice driver level Nova.

The interior is described as being finished in factory correct black vinyl for both the front bench seat and matching rear seat. These are surrounded by black vinyl door panels and trim. Features include manual windows, power steering, a steering column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, and an AM radio. Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge located ahead of the driver. A period correct aftermarket 8,000-rpm tachometer is mounted to the steering column and vintage style Autometer gauges for the oil pressure, amps, and water temperature are mounted under the dashboard. The odometer reads 76,084 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown. Al in all the interior looks like a nice place to be for many miles of driving.

Under the hood is where you will find the rebuilt, non-original 327cid V8. According to the dealer, the engine has an HF suffix code and was rebuilt in 2007. Engine dress up features include chrome valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, and a chrome dual-snorkel air cleaner housing. A safety inspection was recently completed. The dealer offering this nice Nova will include engine rebuild receipts from 2007, additional receipts dating back to the 1980s, and a build sheet as part of the sale.

If you are looking to buy your first muscle car this Nova would be a great place to start. These cars are easy to own and maintain and offer strong performance and ease of use as well as the fun of driving a classic muscle car. They are a great entry point to the muscle car hobby and you don’t have to go Nova crazy and have 5 of them.. Jut buy this one and enjoy a car that defines what GM muscle cars are all about.

I have a passion for the Chevy twos especially 66 and 67 they are so desirable I’ve been fortunate that I’ve collected 65 66 67 SS National winning cars in my garage through these challenging years they have been my therapy! They don’t make them like they used to my father always told me God bless and take care of everyone
