Review: 2023 Toyota Crown Limited

A sophisticated ride

-

You may not be able to tell unless you are in person, but my first question was, “Is it a crossover?” The answer is no. My second question was, “A small SUV?” Again, no. So, what’s the answer? Considering the Toyota Crown has replaced the full-size Avalon, let’s go with sedan. The 2023 Toyota Crown Limited presents a compelling blend of luxury and advanced technology, making it a standout choice in the premium sedan segment. The sleek design and refined interior of the Crown Limited we are looking at today helps deliver a driving experience that caters to discerning individuals seeking both comfort and sophistication.

With its slim lines, bold grille, and distinctive LED lighting, the Crown Limited is the epitome of modernity. The attention to detail is evident, with several elements contributing to the car’s upscale aesthetic. I particularly like the fact that it rides on 21” gunmetal alloy wheels, this really makes a statement to the overall presentation of the vehicle. The only part of the exterior, visually, I was not too wild about is the plastic lower side accent panel. I like the accent but it would be more appealing to me if it were color matched with the body, or maybe gunmetal to complement the wheels instead of black.

Stepping inside, the comfortable interior has plenty of technology and features to go around. Premium materials, such as leather upholstery and an elegant wood trim, elevate the cabin ambiance, while design touches like a/c vent placements, heated/cooled seats enhance the overall experience. The spacious seating ensures ample room for passengers, even on long journeys. Additionally, the Crown Limited comes equipped with an impressive array of features, including a state-of-the-art 12.3” infotainment system, advanced driver assistance technologies, and other connectivity options we expect today.

Under the hood, the 2023 Crown Limited’s dynamic driving experience is powered by a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with EV, Eco, Normal & Sport drive modes, providing 236 combined system net horsepower. The Crown Limited’s refined suspension and precise steering help create a smooth driving experience.

Toyota prioritizes safety in the 2023 Crown Limited, equipping it with an array of advanced safety features and driver assistance technologies, including front and rear parking assist with automatic braking. You can even connect roadside and emergency services if the vehicle has 4G network capabilities active.

Jordan Muscarella grew up in a suburb of Orlando, Florida and currently resides in Arizona. With many family members working for General Motors and Ford, a love of cars has been in his blood since a very early age. He enjoys attending automotive events, spending time with his wife, and, of course, detailing his cars. He was always “that guy” who brought towels and cleaning products to a self-service carwash, spending way too much time occupying the space.
