Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. It is powered by an Oldsmobile 403cid V8 backed by an automatic transmission. Features include power windows, air conditioning, tilt steering column, and upgraded Sony digital AM/FM stereo. Finished in black over a black vinyl interior, this Trans Am comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

The exterior is finished in Starlight Black (code 19). Features include front spoiler, multi-colored gold “Screaming Chicken” hood decal, shaker hood scoop, color-keyed sport mirrors with driver’s manual remote, rear spoiler, and gold Trans Am decals.

A set of steel Pontiac Rally II wheels with bright center caps and trim rings is wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GT II radial tires.

The interior is upholstered in black vinyl. Features power windows, tilt steering column, leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, and Sony digital AM/FM stereo.

The instrument panel includes a 100-mph speedometer, 6,000-rpm tachometer with integrated clock, and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and water pressure. The odometer reads 35,558 miles.

Power is provided by a replacement Oldsmobile 403 V8 with four-barrel carburetor (which was standard in California and high-altitude areas), though a Pontiac 400 was the original engine in this vehicle. The big small-block is backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include chrome Edelbrock valve covers and Shaker air cleaner assembly. The factory air conditioning system has been disconnected and the air conditioning compressor has been removed.

This Trans Am is factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear-drive axle with the optional 3.23 gears. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. Engine exhaust exits via splitters on both sides of the rear.
