Think you know your cars? Prove it!

-

Think you know your cars? Then try the below automotive puzzle highlighting the wheels and wheelcovers of vehicles that are currently listed on AutoHunter.

Perhaps 15 years ago, I learned that all wheelcovers are hubcaps, while all hubcaps may not necessarily be wheelcovers. Then you have mag wheels, which purists will remind you should be made of magnesium to be a proper mag.

Below we have four wheelcovers and wheels. Give your best and post your answers in the comments section below. Then click on each image to learn whether you guessed correctly. Have fun!

Diego Rosenberg
Diego Rosenberg
Lead Writer Diego Rosenberg is a native of Wilmington, Delaware and Princeton, New Jersey, giving him plenty of exposure to the charms of Carlisle and Englishtown. Though his first love is Citroen, he fell for muscle cars after being seduced by 1950s finned flyers—in fact, he’s written two books on American muscle. But please don’t think there is a strong American bias because foreign weirdness is never far from his heart. With a penchant for underground music from the 1960-70s, Diego and his family reside in the Southwest.

  1. The last one is the TRX 390 mm wheel used on some ’83 Mustangs and possibly some ’84s. These came with a special Michelin tire that provided better traction. Coker now sells reproduction tires for about $435 a tire. Amazing!
