Finally, Dodge’s Last “Last Call” Ready to Party

Dodge passes the baton to the Charger Daytona SRT

-

Dodge was supposed to introduce the seventh and final of the Last Call special-editions at SEMA 2022 in November, but that didn’t happen because the car was not ready. With the announcement on standby, folks around the globe were bummed but, with a constant barrage of automotive news, we at the ClassicCars.com Journal are a patient bunch.

But how patient? Because now we have to wait until March 20, 2023, to discover what Dodge has in store for the final Last Call vehicle before Dodge goes to the Dark Side of electrification. In grand Dodge fashion, it’s not just an announcement — it’s gonna be a party in Vegas full of drag racing, Dodge Thrill Rides, car show, celebrity appearances, post-event afterglow and more.

The 2023 Dodge Challenger Shakedown is the first of the brand’s “Last Call” lineup of seven special-edition 2023 models.

And guess what? You yourself will be able to see the reveal on a livestream at DodgeGarage.com.

“The Dodge ‘Last Call’ event will be a celebration of Dodge performance. While the ‘Last Call’ special-edition model we will reveal at Las Vegas and the electrified Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept represent different performance eras for our brand, both are linked by a commitment to delivering the Brotherhood of Muscle a vehicle that drives like a Dodge, looks like a Dodge and sounds like Dodge,” says Dodge brand chief executive officer, Tim Kuniskis. “No matter the era, Dodge will always be about muscle, attitude and performance, and that’s what this event will celebrate.”

You’ll also be able to see the Charger Daytona SRT Concept, Dodge’s future vision of electrified muscle, at the Las Vegas event. It truly will be the end of an era and the birth of another. Can you dig it?

Of course, to commemorate Dodge’s exit from its Hemi-powered existence, the manufacturer has been introducing several Dodge “Last Call” models vehicles for the 2023 swan song. The six that have already been announced are the Dodge Challenger Shakedown, Dodge Charger Super Bee, Dodge Challenger and Charger Scat Pack Swinger, Dodge Charger King Daytona and Dodge Challenger Black Ghost.

Additional details on the Dodge “Last Call” event will be shared at a later date on Dodge.com and DodgeGarage.com.
