Will anyone miss the Blue Flame Six?

-

Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1954 Chevrolet Corvette. It is powered by an 350ci small-block upgrade paired to a three-speed Turbo 400 automatic transmission. It has benefitted from nearly $20K in improvements over the last two years including brakes, fluids, gaskets and battery. Finished in white with black canvas convertible top over a red vinyl interior, this second-year Vette is offered by the selling dealer with removable side windows with storage bag, the original uninstalled radio and a clear Florida title.

This Corvette’s fiberglass body is coated in authentic Polo White with contrasting black canvas top. Exterior features include mesh headlight covers, beltline moldings and dual exhaust extensions.

Steel 15-inch wheels with disc wheelcovers are wrapped in new Coker Classic 205/75-sized wide whitewall tires.

The two-seat cockpit is optioned with red vinyl buckets, door panels, dashboard and carpeting. Amenities include radio, floor mats, lap belts, and dash-mounted rearview mirror.

The instrument panel features a 140-mph speedometer complemented with auxiliary VDO-branded gauges across the face of the dash that include a 7K-rpm tachometer, analog clock and readouts for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads about 6K miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

The 350 small-block has received recent work to the fluids, gaskets, and battery within the last two years per the selling dealer. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted three-speed Turbo 400 automatic.

Photos showing the underside are available in the auction’s photo gallery. The selling dealer notes that the brakes have been refurbished and the steering system has been serviced.

Included with the sale are side windows, window storage bag, uninstalled original radio plus car cover.

This 1954 Chevrolet Corvette’s auction ends on Monday, November 7, 2022, at 12:20 p.m. (PDT)
