A great car chase movie from 1971 with a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T and car delivery driver, Kowalski. Vanishing Point was released in 1971 and has maintained cult movie status since.

So dear readers, Do you like “Vanishing Point”?

Vote and give us your take in the comments section. Like my high school history teacher always told me, “There are no wrong answers.”

My Take? Yes. It is the greatest movie ever made in the history of humanity. (Please note that I realize this is hyperbole, but I love the movie)

  1. Never cared for it. There’s a lot of existentialist movies from the period, and they come off better IMHO.

  2. Loved the movie and the characters in it, it was timed perfectly when gas was getting hard to find (gas shortages and long lines). Besides that, Kawalski was a pretty cool character.

  3. Saw this at a drive in with Ron Howard’s “Eat My Dust”. By far the better movie. Yes, “Vanishing Point” is one I like, decades later. Shout out to Cleavon Little!

  4. A great movie, right up there with Bullitt and Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry BUT they all take a back seat to American Graffiti

  5. One of the best road movies ever made. A real existentialist example from the seventies with lots of very good stunt driving.
