Up next is automotive industry analyst Karl Brauer. He shares with Alan that he sitting on the side of a lookout mountain in his hometown of Denver in a 2022 Acura NSX. The NSX is super refined with its all wheel drive, hybrid powertrain and of course it’s combination of an electric motor and combustion engine. Karl says with a push of the button you can be in “quiet” mode, as if you were in the luxurious Lexus or sports mode where you get the need for speed. Karl also got to drive the 2022 Maserati MC20 Cielo, which is the convertible version of the new MC20, while he was in Italy.

BJ Killeen drops in as she briefly shares the struggles of Rivian and their $1.6 billion dollar loss in the first quarter. Due to the supply chain disruption and the material cost rising, manufacturers such as Rivian are taking a hit. BJ also announces that Genesis is talking about a new division called, “One of One”. You can modify anything from the power train transmission to the interior and exterior color.

Rounding out the show is George Kennedy III, co-founder of Cartender and freelance automotive journalist, who share his experience driving the 2022 Mercedes S580, the same vehicle Alan is test driving. He explains that it is an “experience” from how you sit in it to the MBUX Interior system.
