Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 XL convertible.

This Fairlane was refinished in metallic silver in 2007 and features a black power convertible top with a glass rear window, a cowl induction hood, and red accent pinstriping. It rides on 15-inch chrome Rallye wheels with radial tires.

“The front bucket seats, matching rear seat, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl,” AutoHunter notes in the listing. “Features include a center console with an automatic shifter, power steering and brakes, manual windows, a black steel dashboard with a black top pad, black carpet, and an aftermarket Pioneer digital stereo with a CD player.”

Under the hood is a 289ci V8 engine with a mild cam, a 4-barrel carburetor, an aluminum intake, and ceramic-coated headers. The engine is paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. 

The sale includes an Ontario, Canada vehicle permit in the seller’s name.

This Ford Fairlane’s auction ends on June 8, 2022, at 12:20 p.m. (PDT).

  1. 1966 Fairlane GT was my first car I purchased in 1966 for stock 390 335hp it was fast stock factory I ever ran in US 30 drag strip in Indiana 13:98 was my best time the high was 14:25 I really miss my Fairlane

  2. 64 Skylark ! My dad bought one new His first new car. Canary yellow. I remember riding around in it with him. Loved that car !
