Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a 1939 Mercury hot rod.

“This 1939 Mercury two-door convertible is a custom-built hot rod with bodywork that has been shaved, de-chromed, and dressed in airbrushed flames,” AutoHunter notes in the listing. “Equipment includes a white vinyl Carson removable top with plastic windows, whitewall tires, dual spotlights, and a dual exhaust system with glasspack mufflers.”

The interior features red and white two-tone vinyl bench seats with matching door panels. Amenities include a modern sound system and a tall shifter with a lighted skull shift knob.

It’s powered by a Chevrolet 350ci V8 engine with a trio of deuce carburetors and the engine is paired with a floor-shifted Turbo 350 three-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.

This Mercury rides on red-finished steel wheels with chrome Hollywood flipper hubcaps and whitewall tires.

The sale includes a clear Florida title.
