“This 3-owner 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air was originally delivered to DeAnza Chevrolet of Riverside, California with an MSRP of $2,299,” AutoHunter notes in the listing. “After being with the first owner for 25 years, it was sold to a couple in the early 1980s. A year later, the car was put through an eight year frame-off restoration using NOS parts.”
Refinished in two-tone Harbor Blue and Larkspur Blue, this Bel Air features extensive brightwork and a continental kit. It rides on-inch body-color wheels with chrome covers and three-blade spinners. The wheels are wrapped in Coker Classic whitewall tires.
The new interior has blue vinyl and black fabric front and rear bench seats with matching door panels. Amenities include an Autronic Eye automatic high beams sensor, Wonder Bar radio, air conditioning and power windows.
Under the hood is a rebuilt Super Turbo-Fire 283ci V8 engine with a 4-barrel carburetor. The engine is paired with a rebuilt Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission.
This Chevrolet Bel Air’s auction ends on March 23, 2022, at 12:20 p.m. (PDT).
The sale includes a clear title, reproduction window sticker, a NOS tool kit, Dupont paint swatches, an owner’s manual and related documents, a brochure, retro-inspired literature with a commemorative box, and the Summer 1998 issue of Chevy Classics magazine that it was featured in.
