Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a 1965 GMC Series 1000 half-ton pickup, a customized street rod built from the frame up about 10 years ago.
The GMC’s body is finished in yellow and is fitted with a Stepside bed sourced from a 1990’s era model. The bed has been retrofitted with wooden slats and stainless hardware.
The suspension sits low after being updated with a Camaro-sourced front end and Chevrolet Nova parts in the rear.
Power comes from a supercharged 454cid big-block Chevy V8 topped with a chrome Roots blower and 4-barrel carburetor and paired with a Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission.
Inside the cab sits a gray-and-black upholstered split bench, a center console and a black vinyl dash.
Interior equipment includes air conditioning, a remote battery with a shutoff switch and a dash-mounted AM/FM/Disc stereo system.
The odometer shows 6,970, which is reported to be the mileage driven since completion of the build.
This supercharged pickup’s auction ends November 9 at 12:20 p.m. PDT.
