“The first Bronco sport utility vehicle launched in 1966 on an exclusive chassis, available only in four-wheel drive at the time,” AutoHunter notes in the SUV’s listing. “The body utilized symmetrical door skins, all-flat glass, and a variety of body styles.”
This 1971 Dark Orange Metallic example is configured as an open-body roadster equipped with fender-fares, black-tubular bumpers and a color-matched roll cage.

The ad states the Bronco doesn’t have any doors, although an uninstalled soft top is included with the sale for extra coverage.
Inside are black vinyl bucket seats, an aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel, and a modern Pioneer audio head unit connected to Kicker speakers.
Under the hood is a 302cid V8 performance upgraded with an Edelbrock Performer intake, four-barrel carburetor and performance headers with a dual exhaust system. Power is sent to all four wheels via a replacement Hughes automatic transmission.
This Bronco’s auction ends August 4 at 11:40 a.m. PDT.
