Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction is back in action this week, after being postponed from its usual January run by the pandemic.
From March 20 – 27, classic and collector car enthusiasts around the world will gather (6-feet apart and wearing masks) to view more than 1,000 vehicles crossing the auction block.
This is Barrett-Jackson’s 50th year, and it didn’t hold back celebrating and has built a docket full of legendary cars and collections including the Raser Collection, Larry Winkler Collection, the Peterson Museum collection, and a select offering from a private collection.

As I perused the cars getting ready to roll across the auction stage, here are the ones I would be bidding on if money was no object:
Known as the “Slinger 911,” this custom ’73 custom Porsche sports new RS fenders and quarter-panels, fiberglass bumpers from GT racing, flared rear arches and a custom RS-style ducktail spoiler.
This ‘70s dream is powered by a 3.0-liter flat-6 engine mated to a Porsche 915 5-speed manual transmission.
The body is beautifully finished in cream over a brown leather interior offset by braided leather inserts.
Let’s stay in the 1970s for a little longer with this 1971 Chevy K5 Blazer.
This black and white Blazer gets its power from a GM Performance LT4 6.2-liter V8 engine – the same used in the C7 Corvette Z06 – that produces 650 horsepower.
According to the seller, no stone was left unturned nor penny unspent during this rebuild, and it looks like the hard work paid off.
This 1958 Bermuda Wagon is being sold by Edsel B. Ford II, the grandson of Edsel Ford, and was modified in 2016. These modifications took the wagon from being a steering column-shifted manual transmission to an automatic transmission.
The geometric tan and brown interior was also given a facelift with new carpet, new paint where need and a new headliner.
You’ll also find Edsel B. Ford II’s autograph inside the glovebox.
Candy Apple Red, this convertible stood out amongst the sea of Shelby GT at Barrett-Jackson this year.
This 1968 Shelby GT500 is one of 403 GT500 convertibles made in 1968 and just one of three built in this configuration.
It’s powered by a 428cid V8 with an added electronic ignition mated to a Tremec 5-speed manual.
Offered up from the Raser Collection is this award-winning and rotisserie-restored 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air that makes me want to cruise the coast of California with the top down.
An Antique Automobile Club of America Car of the Year nominee and Nation First Prize Winner in 2016, it’s finished in the iconic code-799 Tropical Turquoise paint and is equipped with a white power convertible top.
Power comes from a 265cid V8 engine with a 4-barrel carburetor that’s mated to a Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission.
I stumbled upon this bright yellow Nash Metropolitan in the back corner of the main display tent and I was drawn in.
Offered from the Larry Winkley Collection, this subcompact is powered by a 1,200cc inline 4-cylinder engine that’s mated to a 3-speed column-shifted manual transmission.
Its smile-inducing exterior is echoed in the two-tone yellow and white vinyl interior.
One of just 248 built, this yellow ’71 Barracuda has received a full restoration in which the convertible’s original 318cid engine was swapped out with a 440.
Other features include a Shaker hood, all V-code options, automatic transmission and a powered convertible top.
The odometer shows only 51,238 miles.
Another convertible to wrap up my list, this blue and white 1957 Bonneville is just one of 630 produced and has been professionally restored to the factory specifications.
It’s powered but a fuel-injected 347cid V8 engine mated to an automatic transmission.
