So, you want to do a road trip but don’t want to bother with having to do the planning, make room reservations, find the best restaurants, etc.
Well, Canossa Events is launching a North American Touring Series that handles those details, leaving you to simply participate in its small-group road trip excursions.
Founded in Reggio Emilia, Italy, in 2011 by Luigi Orlandini, Canossa Events has grown to a staff of 130 and has joined the Motorsport Network to provide a global touring service under the banner of “There’s no road to happiness, happiness is the road.”
Canossa Events, which calls itself “Europe’s preeminent luxury automotive touring provider,” debuted in North America in 2019 and is back this fall with road trips in New England, the Southwest and California’s Central Coast.
The goal is to provide “private — and safe — small-group road trip excursions that will explore America’s most majestic corridors,” the company said in its news release.
“Guests will explore picturesque drives, indulge in one-of-a-kind gastronomy experiences, enjoy luxury accommodations and rediscover la dolce vita – all curated via Canossa’s signature values of beauty, elegance, taste and personalized service.
“Canossa Events North America is also applying its white-glove service to its safety protocols. All excursions are limited in size, and the staff and hosts along each tour adhere to the strictest safety and social distancing guidelines to deliver a carefree and pleasant experience for guests.”
“We have longed to bring Canossa’s version of la dolce vita to North America,” Orlandini is quoted. “And in this current climate, we have the opportunity to deliver our experiences to our fans who are unable to leave North America. With Canossa Events North America, we will safely celebrate the freedom to drive, indulge in culinary delights, and soak in the beautiful sceneries among old and new friends.”
Registration is open for the Fall Rally New England, which runs from October 15-18 and which promises autumn leaves, the Maine seacoast and a visit to Squam Lake, New Hampshire setting for the Oscar-winning movie, On Golden Pond. Also included is a visit to Club Motorsport, a new 25—turn racing circuit in the White Mountains.
The price is $9,900 per couple and includes accommodations, meals and other activities.
I’m sorry, I have to ask… For $2,500 a day do you get to drive their Ferrari or do you bring your own?
