The coronavirus pandemic is having a major impact on automotive events, many of which are being canceled or postponed. Here are the latest announcements:
- Mondial de l’Auto, the biennial Paris Motor Show, isn’t scheduled to take place until October 1-11 but already has been canceled. The cancelation marks the third of a major international auto show this year, following Geneva and Detroit. A fourth, the New York International Auto Show has rescheduled for August 28-September 6.
- The fourth annual London Concours, scheduled for June 10-11 at the Honourable Artillery Company headquarters building, has been postponed until August 19-20.
- Mecum Auctions has set a new date for its 33rd Original Spring Classic, now rescheduled for June 23-28 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis. The auction company also said it plans to go ahead with the June 3-7 dates for the Eddie Vannoy Collection sale in Jefferson, North Carolina. It also has canceled its visit to Portland, Oregon, this year, and is in the process of rescheduling its Houston sale.
