Shelby Cobra, GT500 Mustang top McCormick’s auction

A 1966 Shelby Coba (CSX4236) topped McCormick’s recent collector car auction at Palm Springs, California, selling for $153,700. 

Overall, the auction sold 331 vehicles for $5.74 million with a 63.4 percent sell-through rate.

A 1968 Shelby GT500 Mustang brought $127,200.

Other highlights of the sale reported by McCormick’s included a 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W30 that sold for $69,960 and a 1961 Cadillac Coupe deVille owned by Danny Koker of History Channel’s Counting Cars that brought $63,000.

McCormick’s next sale, No. 68, is scheduled for February 21-23, 2020.
