Papal motorcycle to be auctioned for charity

A custom 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle signed by Pope Francis has been consigned to Bonhams’ Autumn Stafford Sale, where it will be sold to benefit the Pontifical Mission Societies.

Dubbed “White Unique,” the motorcycle was created by Thomas Draxler, founder of the Austria-based “Jesus Bikers” group. The bike is finished in pearlescent white with Mexican-American detailing, including gold-plated components, special ornamentation and the pope’s autograph on the tank.

The auction is scheduled for October 19-20 in Staffordshire, England.
