Nitro-fueled ‘cacklefest’ among the highlights
The LA Roadsters car club staged its 54th LA Roadster Show and Swap Meet this past weekend at the Pomona Fairplex, where hundreds of vehicles and more than 10,000 people gathered.
Although the featured vehicles are the hot rods based on pre-1936 models, among the highlights was a “cacklefest,” with the owners of nitro-fueled dragsters firing up their 3,000-horsepower Hemi-powered racers in a show of sound and flame.
The LA Roadsters Club launched its show in 1960. Members wear red shirts and white pants, and their vehicles line the entrance to the Fairplex.1 comment
