Barrett-Jackson countdown: Restored Chevy Chevelle LS6

-

This fully restored 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle – aka lot No. 670 — was brought back to life over 3,300 hours of work that was overseen by NCOA Master Judge Chris White.

The car has a matching-number 454ci V8 complete with the original carburetor and exhaust. Those are mated to a Tubro 400 automatic transmissions with a 4.10 posi-traction rear end.

The Chevelle is equipped with power steering and brakes, bucket seats, a console, gauges, a tilt column with sport steering wheel, AM/FM radio with an 8-track player and tinted windows.

White’s work has received recognition at Eckler’s Chevy Classics Club Winter National, where it received a perfect 1,000 out of 1,000 score in 2013 that earned it a Platinum Certificate.

It also earned a Concours Gold Certificate from Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals, Best in Show and Crystal Award at Aces Maryland Regional Chevelle Show, and First Place at the Boston World of Wheels.

The car will be sold with two build sheets.

Barrett-Jackson’s annual Northeast auction is scheduled for June 21-23 at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut.
