There’s no doubt at one point or another every car enthusiast has thought about putting their car in a giant bubble to protect it from even the smallest of potential threats. CarCapsule is calling “ShowCase,” the latest in their line of ultra-premium vehicle storage, the ultimate solution.
The ShowCase acts as a touch less cover with its heavy-duty inflatable air columns that hold the structure up and keep its shape. For viewing, clear 10-millimeter PVC windows connect the pillars and create a sealed environment that is accessed by a zipping panel for the car to be driven in or out.
According to CarCapsule, the ShowCase uses “Evaporative Storage Technology” to exchange the air within with filtered air from outside the capsule three to five times per hour. The continuous air flow keeps the temperature within the capsule consistent with its outside surroundings while the filter eliminates moisture that could cause condensation on the vehicle and lead to musty odors, mildew, and in some cases corrosion.
The ShowCase also features an 18-mil PVC floor that is said to be mildew, abrasion and flame resistant, as well as impervious to oil and gas.
In a video created by CarCapsule, the ShowCase is set up by attaching the air pump that is part of the package. Full inflation takes approximately 3 to 4 minutes, and no tools are required. The air pump is also used alongside a fan to control the air exchange and can be used to quickly deflate the capsule.
CarCapsule offers ShowCase models in sizes for large and small automobiles, motorcycles, and can produce custom configurations as well. CarCapsule says an outdoor version of the ShowCase will be available soon.
