Editor’s note: This is the eighth in a 10-day sponsored series featuring cars to be sold April 6-8 during Barrett-Jackson’s Palm Beach auction.

Offered with a reserve during the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach auction, this pro-touring Mustang GT is a monster powered by a 545cid V8 engine hooked to a 6-speed manual transmission.

The 545ci Ford V8 engine has been thoroughly tweaked, bathed in a slick coat of matching red paint and dressed with some of the best components available. At the top of the engine, a body-matching air cleaner stuffs power into a high-performance Mass-Flo fuel-injection system.

Along with a clean exterior and sleek engine bay, the car has a fresh Tremec T56 Magnum transmission that wears an SFI approved QuickTime scatter shield. Lift the third pedal and an 11-inch Science Friction Street Slayer twists power to a FAB9-sleeved Ford 9-inch unit.

Other features include power steering, air conditioning, push-button start and shaved door handles for that smooth look.

The tasteful custom interior features firm bucket seats that have been covered in fine leather and detailed with polished buttons, along with custom door panels and subtle metal accents above long, sculpted armrests.

Lastly, the car has been owned by NFL wide receiver Reggie Wayne.
