Offered at Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas auction October 13-15, and without reserve price, is this 1956 Chevrolet custom Sport Touring sedan from the Tammy Allen collection.
The car was built on a “Paul Newman Car Creations” modified Chevrolet chassis with the original frame stretched 10 inches to sit on the custom chassis with the independent rear suspension and differential from a low-mileage 1996 Corvettes.
Body modifications were done to include the 10-inch stretch and feature rear quarterpanels from a 1957 Cadillac and a Cadillac rear window.
Powering the custom creation is a low-mileage LS1 V8 rated with 325 horsepower and mated to a matching 4L60 automatic overdrive transmission.
Other additional features incorporated in the build include an air and heat system by Vintage Air, gauges from Dakota Digital, and cruise control. Alpine Electronics are used in the car and include an interface for front and rear seat viewing of a DVD or GPS
