“An imaginative solution to deliver groceries to her grandmother’s high-rise apartment was the concept of an award-winning drawing by a kindergartner from New Jersey,” Toyota reports as it shares the results of its Dream Car USA art contest.
“Using markers and watercolors, Helena Zou, 5, worked more than a week to create her ‘Giraffe Car Delivers Happiness’,” the gold award-winner in the category for artists age 4-7.
Toyota says the contest is designed to inspire creativity and to encourage innovative ideas for future mobility.

Gold, silver and bronze prizes were awarded in each of three age-group categories. There also were two special awards, the Hot Wheels design award and the Petersen Prestige award.
The Hot Wheels award went to 14-year-old Danica Lilly Ball for her “Steer Clear and Steam Forward into the Future” drawing and the Petersen award, presented by the Los Angeles car museum, went to 15-year-old Kaitlyn Chen for her digitally drawn “Building Blocks.”
