Bonhams sets its 2022 auction schedule

Two new European auctions, more emphasis on online events

-

As it prepares for its annual collector car auction during Arizona Auction Week, Bonhams motorcar division has announced its full 2022 sales schedule, which includes a new event at the Gstaad Palace Hotel in Switzerland and another in Italy.

The Gstaad Sale, scheduled for July 3, will take place every other year, alternating with Bonhams’ Bonmont Sale, which was launched in 2018 on the shores of Lake Geneva.

The new Passione Moto auction, set for April 2-3, will offer more than 100 motorcycles at the Moto dei Miti museum at Civita Castellana near Rome, the auction company said.

Bonhams also said it will feature its online sales program, called “The Market by Bonhams.”

In its news release, the auction house said it will put “a greater focus on digital sales, as part of Bonhams Motoring strategy to improve its client experience, in the face of an increased demand for online auctions. Consequently, a greater number of motor cars will be offered through The Market by Bonhams digital sales platform, replacing some of its smaller sales.”
