We’ve been given a second chance to bid on this 1979 Mercedes convertible on AutoHunter’s online auction platform. This car was listed on AutoHunter back in December 2020 and is being re-listed because of a non-paying buyer.
Before re-listing the vehicle on AutoHunter, the seller repaired the passenger-side front bumperette and installed a new dash pad.
Finished in burgundy over a tan leather interior, the car is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 that was factory rated at 180 horsepower and is paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The odometer reads 150,000 miles, which are original to the car.
The Mercedes comes equipped with a folding soft top as well as a removable hardtop finished in matching burgundy, and with fog lamps, power steering and brakes, and air conditioning.
Inside you’ll find tan leather bucket seats, a center console trimmed with wood paneling and an aftermarket AM/FM/CD radio connected to dual speakers behind the seats. The dash features a 180-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temp and oil pressure.
The seller makes note that the passenger-side front bumper guard needs an adjustment and the car is missing one piece of trim molding on the passenger side front fender.
The auction ends Tuesday, January 11th at 11 a.m. MST.
