Bonhams will expand its European auction calendar for 2020, announcing a new collector car sale to take place August 1 in conjunction with the Schloss Dyck Classic Days festival in Germany.
In its announcement, Bonhams called the Schloss Dyck event, now in its 15th year, the “German Goodwood.” The festival runs July 31 to August 2 and includes a concours d’elegance, vintage race car demonstrations and other festivities.
“We are delighted to announce this new sale at Schloss Dyck,” Bonhams Motoring Group chairman James Knight was quoted in the announcement. “We have enjoyed attending the event over the years and are now proud to partner with them.
“We conduct regular and successful sales in Belgium, France, Monaco and Switzerland and can now add Germany. Our European calendar is going from strength to strength and got off to a flying start earlier this month, with the best-ever result achieved at the Grand Palais sale in Paris.”
This will not be Bonhams first German sale. It previously held single-marque events at Stuttgart with Mercedes-Benz and at Munich with BMW.
Bonhams’ next motoring sale is scheduled for March 5 at Amelia Island, Florida. It also has sales March 21 at Bicester Heritage in England and March 29 at Goodwood, England, before its next European continental sale, May 8 at Monaco.
