Edelbrock and Pat Musi Racing have announced the expansion of their crate-engine collaboration with the introduction of the Edelbrock/Musi 555, a carbureted big-block Chevy V8 rated at 676 horsepower and 649 pound-feet of torque on 91 octane gasoline.
Drag racer Pat Musi personally assembled each engine, according to the announcement. That assembly process includes Edelbrock E-CNC cylinder heads installed, Edelbrock’s Victor Jr. intake manifold and 800cfm Thunder Series AVS carburetor.
As an option, the Pro-Flo 4 EFI and Pro-Flo 4 XT EFI induction systems are available.
Edelbrock notes that its partnership with Pat Musi Racing began more than 15 years ago. Since then, the racing team, which includes Musi’s daughter, Lizzy in PDRA Pro Nitrous class competition, has won eight Pro Street world championships.
