“For Mr. (Raymond) Andrews it was more fun in the ‘hunt’ for old cars. He loved finding them and bring them home to add to his collection,” VanDerBrink Auctions says in its online catalog of the upcoming sale of the Andrews Collection in Clear Lake, Iowa.
The auction, featuring unusual or “orphan” vehicles, is scheduled for September 8 at the Hidden Lakes Campground.
Among the cars being offered up for bidding are 1938 and 1942 Studebaker commanders, a 1955 Studebaker President and 1962 Lark; 1938, 1941, 1948 and 1951 Nash Ambassadors and a 1939 Nash Lafayette; 1938 Lincoln Zephyr; 1948 and 1953 Kaiser Manhattans and a 1951 Kaiser Club Coupe; and several 1960s-‘80s Mercedes-Benz.
Various vintage car parts also will be offered.
