Project Blue Book is a History channel dramatic sci-fi series loosely based on declassified documents from the US government’s post-war investigation into reports of unidentified flying objects, imdb.com reports.
Which brings us to the Pick of the Day, a 1951 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe DeVille reportedly restored for use in the series. But not only that, at some point the car was owned by Ksenia Solo, a Latvian-Canadian actress who in the series portrays Susie Miller — as imdb puts it, “a charismatic blonde with an agenda of her own.”
“Hollywood movie car,” proclaims the private seller offering the Cadillac for sale on ClassicCars.com.
The seller reports that the show was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, and that more than $30,000 was spent getting the bright-red car restored for its TV role.
The seller reports that the engine is original and has been rebuilt and that the powertrain is in “good running condition.” In 1951, Coupe deVilles were equipped with Cadillac’s 331cid V8 engine rated at 190 horsepower
The odometer indicates 58,302 miles. The car has power steering, an AM radio and cloth seats.
The Cadillac is located in Lynden, Washington, and is being offered for $22,000.

Looks like an excellent start for a really nice car, or could be driven regularly and enjoyed as is. Not an unreasonable asking price either…

i owned a 1951 Cadillac coupe in 1964, ran great sold it for $150. bucks!

Price is right on this one. Reminds me of a 50 model one of my brothers had in the 60’s. But His had a 55 engine in it. He got mad one day (which he did often) when it wouldn’t start so he smashed the windshield and set it on fire. He’s gone now, a victim of the Vietnam war.

I got drafted and joined the Navy to stay out of the Army. I still went to VietNam but on a ship so I was not in near as much danger. The war was none of our business and we should have simply stayed out of it. But once we were in, we should have fought to win. Politicians and corporations selling war supplies kept it going. Then we come back to a bunch of dope smoking hippies who called us baby killers. It is ironic that the same bunch are now supporting unfettered abortions paid for by the taxpayer. Who are the baby killers? I digress. These big Cadillacs were comfortable and heavy duty. They were great when gasoline was 25 cents a gallon. I have a similar car now that was in direct competion with Cadillac. I have a 50 Packard. It is not near as nice as this car. Still in restoration.
