The 22nd biannual 2CV World Meeting of Amicale Citroen Internationale (International Citroen Friends) took place recently in the Portuguese seaside resort of Ericeira.

The event, launched in 1975 in Finland, takes place every other year. The seventh such event also was held in the Portuguese location on the Atlantic coast, about 20 miles from Lisbon.

The largest such gathering took place in France in 2011, when more than 7,000 of the classic Citroens assembled at Salbris. This year, around 2,000 vehicles gathered for the meeting, which includes a tour, with about 50 of the vehicles taking part in the Raid 2CV.

The 23rd 2CV World Meeting is scheduled for July 30 to August 4, 2019, in Croatia.
