  1. My wife Cheryl and I wan t thank you for including our 6 year old granddaughter, Kaia Echternkamp’s 1955 Austin J40 in your Eye Candy: 66th Annual Grand National Roadster Show (Part 2). Kaia started working with me, Papa, when she was just three years old and over the next three years, she helped tear it down, sand, prime, paint and just about every other step involved in the Austin Motor Company’s vintage pedal car into a fully functioning key start, gas powered mini-car. It has all the lights of a street legal car, horn, bluetooth stereo and leather upholstery, etc. Kaia’s story and her J40 have taken the car culture by storm, she has won several awards to include First in Class at the Grand National Roadster Show, was on display at the 2014 SEMA Show, and has been featured in the January issue of Tail Fins and Chrome (can be seen via the App Store-Tail Fins and Chrome). We are close to completing a matching teardrop trailer that can be towed behind her J40. Kaia, her car and new teardrop trailer will be on show at the Crossroads Car Show at Benedict Castle, Riverside, CA on March 28, 2015, see crossroadscarshows.com
