The 39th annual Concours d’Elegance of America, which actually comprises a weekend of 15 events, will host about 300 rare collector cars from around the world from July 28 through July 30 at the Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth, Michigan.
Featured marques for the main-event concours, which takes place on Sunday, July 30, are Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost and Shelby Cobra, while the featured coachbuilder is Walter M. Murphy Company of Pasadena and the featured body styles are boattail classics, hypercar exotics and Jet Age Juniors.
The concours also will highlight Maximum Muscle, celebrating the high-performance machines of the 1963-1973 decade. Among the muscle-car icons will be 426 Hemis and Max Wedge Dodges representing Mopar, Cobra Jet 428s and Boss 429s from Ford and the ram Air IV GTO, 1973 Super Duty 455 Pontiac Trans Am and Oldsmobile 442 powered by the 455-cubic-inch V8 with the W-30 package from GM.
Other events during the Concours of America weekend include a motoring tour, Cars and Coffee and Concorso – Italian Date Night.

Cadillac has been selected as the honored marque for the Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival and Concours d’Elegance, which takes place November 3-5 on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.
Three classes will be dedicated to Cadillac during the concours, held on Sunday, November 5: Classics 1916-1948, Production 1949-1962 and Production 1963-1973.
“Cadillac has a long history of exceptional design. Vehicles with dramatic proportions and elegant execution,” said Ed Welburn, GM’s former Global Design Chief, who will be a guest during the weekend.
Among the special Cadillac models entered for the concours are the 1959 Cyclone concept car, a 1908 Model T Victoria Touring, a 1934 Cadillac Victoria Convertible Coupe and the 1955 St. Moritz, a GM Motorama concept car.

Missing the renowned Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance again this year? Fret not because you can enjoy the bucket-list event via live streaming of the awards ceremony starting at 2 p.m. on August 20. TEN: The Enthusiast Network will broadcast the free showing on Automobilemag.com, Motor Trend OnDemand and on Motor Trend’s YouTube channel.
Hosting the livestream will be TEN’s international bureau chief Angus MacKenzie, motorsports announcer Bob Varsha, and British race driver and broadcaster Alain de Cadenet, along with the editors of Automobile and Motor Trend and several special guests.
The CBS Sports Network also plans to air a one-hour segment of concours highlights September 24 at 1 pm.

Double Formula 1 World Champion and two-time Indy 500 winner Emerson Fittipaldi will be the honored guest for the 23rd annual Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, held March 11 at the Ritz-Carlton Resort in Amelia Island, Florida.
The youngest F1 World Champion of all time, Fittipaldi restired from F1 in 1980, only to be brought back for open-wheel competition for the 1985 Miami Grand Prix. He went on to win the Indy 500 in 1989 and 1993.
“Emerson was the first of a new breed of racers,” Bill Warner, founder and chairman of the Amelia Island Concours, said in the news release. “Born after the war, his path from karts to the World Championship and Indy’s Victory Lane has become the template for a generation of racing superstars.”

The Midland Automobile Club hosts its Classic Nostalgia Weekend this Saturday and Sunday at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb, near Worcester, England, with a showing of Group A and B Rally Cars and Land Speed Record contenders.
Celebrating 20 years of World Rally Cars will be legendary machines from Ford, Toyota and Mitsubishi with the iconic 555 Subaru Impreza and a guest appearance by works Mitsubishi driver Kristian Sohlberg, who will be reunited and competing in his Mitsubishi Lancer WRC04.
And making its first appearance on British soil will be the last-ever Lancia Delta Integrale.
The speed-record exploits of Malcolm and Donald Campbell will be highlighted in in live interviews with Gina Campbell and Don Wales, with the Napier Bluebird Replica among several of the family’s record cars on display.
On Sunday, a Concours d’Elegance will bring 100 cars forward for judging, with the top 15 winners parading up the historic hill climb track at lunchtime.

For another taste of British motoring, here is a chance to experience the absolutely mundane in the fourth Hagerty Festival of the Unexceptional, Concours d’Ordinaire, held on Saturday, July 22, at the Stowe House in Buckinghamshire.
A celebration of the forgotten, humdrum mainstays of everyday British roads, the concours will include hundreds of examples in a “sea of beige” with family sedans, station wagons and light trucks on display.
While the cars will be unexceptional, the venue is not; Stowe House is a historic British mansion located next to the Silverstone Circuit race track.

A 1933 Delage D8S Coupe Roadster by DeVillars won Best of Show at the 14th annual Keeneland Concours d’Elegance, held July 16 at the historic Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky. Presented by the Patterson Collection of Louisville, the car is one of only 99 D8S chassis built by Delage, and de Villars built only about 25 bodies per year; this car was a collaboration between the two companies as a showcase vehicle.
The Judge’s Choice Award went to a 1935 Delahaye M-135/Figoni Competition Coupe. A 1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Cabriolet “A” won the People’s Choice Award, and a 1968 Shelby GT-500 KR was named Children’s Choice winner.

A 1937 Cord 812 Phaeton Supercharged owned by Norman and Judi Noakes of Lake Oswego, Oregon, was awarded Best In Show at the Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance, held July 16 in Forest Grove near Portland, Oregon.
The beautiful yellow convertible was found by Norman Noakes in Granville, Utah, in a barn owned by Aaron McBride, who was the head mechanic for Cord, including when Cord set the Land Speed Record of 110 miles per hour on the Utah Salt Flats.

The winners of the Concours d’Elegance at Heveningham Hall in Suffolk, England, were a 1935 Frazer Nash twin supercharged single seater as best pre-war car; a 1956 Ford GT40 as best post-war car; and 1971 Lamborghini Miura as best supercar.
This was the second year for the concours, held alongside a Country Fair at the 5,000-acre 18th Century estate, with about 50 cars in contention. Judging was by acclaimed car designers J Mays and Ian Callum, along with Max Hunt.
For the first time, vintage aircraft was included in the concours – a 1918 Sopworth Snipe F2367 won the Hanna Aviation Trophy.
