Texas concours, auction canceled for 2019

The Concours d’Elegance of Texas and the Texas Classic Auction have been called off for 2019 because of major construction of a 5-star hotel and the Texas Live! entertainment complex at the events’ annual venue in Arlington, according to Worldwide Auctioneers, which sponsors the concours and holds the collector car auction.

“Worldwide and the concours have decided to let the dust settle in Arlington this year and postpone the auction and concours for 2019,” Worldwide said in a news release. “With the extensive redevelopment and improvements at the venues this year, we each will resume the Texas Classic Auction and the Concours d’Elegance of Texas in April 2020.

“We are pretty sure you will LOVE all the upgrades available to us in 2020!”

Worldwide’s next sale takes place in Pacific Grove, California, on Thursday, August 15, during Monterey Car Week.
