Earlier this month Carlisle Events’ Truck Nationals experienced what organizers termed a “third straight year of event growth and a renewed passion for all things truck” with 1,704 trucks registered at the Fairgrounds in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The attendance was the highest since 2003 and nearly broke the 2001 attendance record of 1,714.
The early August weekend included a scavenger hunt for kids and families that spanned the fairgrounds, motocross riders performing tricks and stunts, and monster trucks “Toxic” and “Raminator” destroying cars.
Show attendees could get ride on the Virginia Giant monster truck.
Other event highlights included limbo for lowered trucks, burnout contests, drop and drag, in addition to the big rig glow show.
The 2017 Carlisle Truck Nationals are slated for August 4-6. at Carlisle is underway with the Fall Carlisle set for September 28-October 2.
