It’s Halloween: Drive the Bid Podcast

Where the scary, wicked, and orange meet

With Halloween coming up, Derek Shiekhi and I selected several automotive topics for‘s Drive the Bid podcast inspired by the Celtic celebration. That could go in many different directions because, while Halloween may have had religious connotations in the past, today it has taken a life (or death) of its own. Our picks include the grotesque, the evil, and the hued, all of which you can watch/listen below.

Our weekly Steve Magnante health update featured no recent updates, which we infer is good news for the time being. To help Steve while he’s holed up in a hospital, you can support him by watching his shows on YouTube. Other topical automotive news items include limited-edition Bentley gloves and the Nissan Hyper Punk concept car.

And then our AutoHunter picks: a 1972 Pontiac Luxury LeMans and 1965 2+2, and a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 convertible and 1969 Camaro Z/28 (plus, we point out how to tell if it’s a real one!).

AutoHunter Cinema has plenty of other videos and podcasts created by the experts behind, the world’s largest online collector car marketplace. AutoHunter brings forth a dedicated live customer support team, quicker auction listings and exclusive benefits for both buyers and sellers.

Lead Writer Diego Rosenberg is a native of Wilmington, Delaware and Princeton, New Jersey, giving him plenty of exposure to the charms of Carlisle and Englishtown. Though his first love is Citroen, he fell for muscle cars after being seduced by 1950s finned flyers—in fact, he’s written two books on American muscle. But please don’t think there is a strong American bias because foreign weirdness is never far from his heart. With a penchant for underground music from the 1960-70s, Diego and his family reside in metropolitan Phoenix.
