AutoHunter Spotlight: 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle

Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a frame-off rotisserie restored 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle.

“During the frame-off rotisserie restoration, this Chevelle was refinished in an Audi shade of metallic gold with black SS stripes,” the listing states. “Features include chrome bumpers, a black grille with chrome trim and an SS emblem, a functional cowl-induction hood with hood pins, dual mirrors, a new black vinyl top, wheel opening moldings, and a rear bumper-mounted SS emblem.”  

It rides on 17-inch polished aluminum five-spoke wheels with Goodyear tires.

This 1971 Chevelle’s front bucket seats, rear seat, trim, and door panels were reupholstered in black vinyl. Amenities include air conditioning, and a new Alpine stereo with Bluetooth and hands-free capabilities. The listing states that the air conditioning needs two lines replaced, a new condenser, and a recharge.

Under this Chevrolet Chevelle’s cowl induction hood sits a 454ci V8 engine that has been bored .060 over. The engine features a polished Edelbrock intake, a cowl-induction air cleaner with a K&N filter, and the listing says a full tune-up that included new spark plugs and spark plug wires was recently completed.

The engine is paired with a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission featuring a horseshoe shifter, a shift kit, and a stall converter.

This Chevrolet Chevelle features ceramic-coated headers, a full-length dual exhaust system, and during the restoration the underbody was repainted to match the body. All four corners were upgraded with power disc brakes, and the listing states new steering components and new bushings have been installed.

The odometer reads 1,000 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

The sale includes a clear title, parts manuals, and receipts.
