Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1969 Dodge Charger “Scraptona”.

Scraptona was constructed by TredWear. It was a 2018 SEMA show car and was exhibited at the 2019 HOT ROD Power Tour, the 2022 Detroit Autorama, a 2022 Gridlife event, and the 2021 Hotwheels Legends Tour. 

“According to the Car Craft article in which this car was featured, the 1969 Dodge Charger shell features Daytona and Superbird reproduction parts,” the listing states. “The body panels, Janak Repros fiberglass nose, doors, and trunk are covered in a mix of factory-applied paint and tractor paint, which was distressed with steel wool and Scotch-Brite pads. The functional headlights are set in BMW buckets and shine through polycarbonate covers. The taillights and turn signals are also functional and along with the headlights enable the car to be driven on the road.”

Scraptona rides on custom-made 20″ x 12″ wheels with 29 x 15.00R20 Mickey Thompson radial tires.

The interior has a pair Kirkey Racing Fabrication Vintage Class aluminum bucket seats with brown vinyl lower pads and Simpson restraints. This Mopar features a center console with a rust patina, lightening holes in the raised footwells, a roll cage, and the side windows have been eliminated. A Rugged Radios headset with a Bluetooth intercom was installed and the Longacre Racing Products steering wheel has a quick-release hub.

Under the hood of Scraptona is a Petty Enterprises R5-P7 358ci V8 with a Comp Cams solid-roller camshaft, Jesel Keyway roller lifters, Jesel roller rocker arms, and a Jesel belt drive system. The engine also features a Holley XP750 carburetor, an MSD 6AL ignition box, and an MSD distributor. According to the listing the engine produces 740 horsepower.

The engine is paired with a new Tremec TKX five-speed manual transmission with a Tilton Engineering bell housing and a Winters Performance Products quick-change unit with 3.55:1 gears that sends power to Scraptona’s rear wheels.

This Dodge’s chassis was modified with 2″ x 4″ box tubing using Rocket Chassis dirt track chassis components. It has an independent front suspension featuring tubular upper and lower control arms with coil-over shocks.

The sale includes a clear title, a copy of the Car Craft magazine it was featured in, matching Hot Wheels car, and posters of “Scraptona”. According to the selling dealer, this Dodge Charger does not have a fuel tank sending unit.

Scraptona’s auction ends on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 12:20 p.m. (MST)
