October is great weather for all types of car shows across the U.S. While we can’t mention every single show happening this weekend, we’ve picked a few to highlight, and are sharing some sites to find shows closer to you! Miami International Auto Show
October 15-23, Miami Beach Convention Center
Sponsored by the South Florida Automobile Dealers Association, this show is open to the public and donates a portion of proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The show begins this Saturday and will run every day through Sunday, October 23. There are plenty of days and times for you to attend. Check out the website for more information.
Flemington Speedway Historical Society’s 11th Annual Car Show
October 15, Roger K. Everitt Fairgrounds South County Park
This is the 11th year for this local car show in Lambertville, NJ, which means it must have a loyal following. Local car shows offer an opportunity to see all types of items which usually the focus of the larger shows. Proceeds benefit the Flemington Speedway Historical Society.
Oktoberfest Concours at Vanderbilt Museum: The Redux
October 16, Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport, NY
This show hosted by the Metro NY Region Porsche Club of America combines Full Concours with the delightful seasonality of Oktoberfest. Prost!
International Motorsports Hall of Fame Heritage Preservation Event
October 14-15, Talladega Suerspeedway, Lincoln, AL
Offering a Concours display with events inside and outside of the museum, this show seems likely to draw all types of people with varied interests. A museum + cars? Sounds like a winning experience. The IMFOFHP is now aligned with Tim Wellborn and the Wellborn Musclecar Museum, along with the Talladega Superspeedway, and has an exclusive Wellborn Invitational Experience. Fortunato Rally – 2022 New England Fall Foliage Tour
October 14-16, Southington Drive-In, Southington, CT
Now this is an activity truly taking advantage of the beauty of autumn in the northeast. What can I say? I didn’t realize moving from Appalachia to the desert would make me miss that fall foliage as much as it has. This event is described as a “scavenger hunt style vintage car rally” where teams of enthusiasts drive over 1,000 miles in three days through New England.
