  1. Girlfriend had a burgundy convertible that she let me drive. Very cool ride and big enough inside for adventures. You could make the rear end “hop” on freeway on ramps if you were over aggressive. Another friend had a 2nd generation Monza. Fast and sporty. Sorry when they went away.

  2. Yes on liking the Corvair. Had a ‘65 Corsa Spider, had the teak wheel, had am/fm stereo reverb radio setup. Lived near Kokomo, one of the Delco engineers decided he’d super tune it – it sounded better than my in house stereo. Midnight blue, at that time ( 1969) the interior was perfect.
    Sold it, because I had a job transfer. Durn!

  3. My HS buddy had a 62 or 63 and we rode to school in it. Had more leg room than an Imperial, however, would drink oil by the gallons! Yet it always would crank and ran as long as the oil held out! LOL
