More than 20 collector cars from the High-Octane Collection are being offered with No Reserve at the upcoming Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction. The collection is highlighted by classic American muscle cars, including Chevrolet, Ford, Mercury, Plymouth and Pontiac.

“Selling a collection of iconic American muscle cars at our Las Vegas Auction is a perfect fit ahead of our nation’s birthday,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “The cars featured in this collection are predominantly from the golden era of American muscle in the 1960s and early ’70s. Built to be driven, the High-Octane Collection will be a favorite amongst bidders passionate about getting behind the wheel of their collector cars.”

The High-Octane Collection is comprised of several restored and custom Chevrolet Chevelles, including a 1969 Chevelle SS 396 coupe (Lot #661) and a 1968 Chevelle SS custom coupe (Lot #668.1). Finished in factory Monaco Orange, Lot #661 is powered by its correct L78 393/375hp engine paired to a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. A recipient of a frame-off restoration, this American muscle car features a correct black interior with bucket seats and includes a copy of the original Window Sticker.

Lot #668 is a 1968 Pontiac GTO custom coupe and is another awe-inspiring example of a Resto-Mod American muscle car. This GTO’s power comes from its Holley Super Sniper EFI 400ci V8 engine modified with a .030-inch overbore, forged pistons, H-beam connecting rods, ported cylinder heads, Inconel valves, roller valve train, a Butler Performance turbo camshaft and a 98/88 turbocharger.

From the Ford family of vehicles is a yellow 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator Boss 302 (Lot #652.1) with a Deluxe Marti report verifying its authenticity as a Boss 302 car. Originally equipped with a 302ci V8 and a 4-speed manual transmission, this Cougar is now powered by an upgraded 351ci V8 engine and a 3-speed automatic transmission. It retains most of its original paint, original door tag, pedal assembly, body panels and floors.

“The High-Octane Collection is another great selection of vehicles set to cross our block in Las Vegas that our bidders will be extremely excited about,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “With both restored examples and highly customized Resto-Mods, the passion for the hobby and appreciation for American automotive history is evident throughout this collection. Winning the bid on one of these No Reserve vehicles will be a perfect way to celebrate the July 4th weekend.”
