AutoHunter Spotlight: 1957 Ford Thunderbird

Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1957 Ford Thunderbird.

This black Ford Thunderbird convertible has a color-matched lift-off hard top with port hole side windows. It features a hood scoop, rear wheel skirts, front and rear chrome bumpers, and dual taillights with integrated reverse lights.

It rides on steel wheels finished in black with full Ford hub caps and new whitewall radial tires. This Thunderbird has power steering, and power drum brakes with new brake hoses and fluid.

“The bench seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered with black and white vinyl,” AutoHunter notes in the listing. “Features include power windows, a floor-mounted automatic shifter, black seat belts, black carpeting, a black steel dashboard with a black top pad, and a retro-style aftermarket AM/FM radio.”

Under the hood is a 312ci V8 engine with a new four-barrel carburetor and fuel hoses. The engine is paired with an automatic transmission. This Thunderbird has been completely rewired and converted to an alternator electrical system, a tune-up was recently completed, and a new aluminum radiator was installed.

A new fuel tank sending unit, and wheel cylinders were installed.

The sale includes a clear Arizona title in the seller’s name. This Thunderbird’s auction ends on June 30, 2022, at 12:15 p.m. (PDT).
