The upcoming Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction will feature a pair of 1999 Shelby Series 1 convertibles with No Reserve. Shelby American produced 249 Series 1 convertibles from 1998 to 2005, and it’s the only car designed and engineered exclusively by Carroll Shelby.

Lot No. 721 at the Las Vegas auction is serial number 0009 and is one of the first 10 cars built at Shelby’s Las Vegas facility. With 950 actual this Shelby Series 1 convertible is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine with an upgraded supercharger installed by Shelby American and produced a factory-rated 500bhp. The engine is paired with a Corvette six-speed manual transmission and this Shelby rides on an aluminum chassis with an independent suspension.

Also available at Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas auction is this Shelby Series 1 convertible, but this one is number 54 of 249. It’s powered by a factory Vortech Supercharged 4.0-liter V8 engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission with an upgraded heavy-duty clutch and 1,805 miles (title reads mileage exempt).

This car was featured at The Quail car show in Monterey, CA, Goodguys Car Shows and Carol Shelby’s Tribute right after his death in June 2012. The sale includes Includes his and her matching Series 1 leather jackets, full documentation including order forms, supercharger upgrade, letters from Shelby to the original buyer, articles and magazines, Shelby Registry documents, Carol Shelby autographed photo of the car, Series 1 car cover and the Snake Bit book.

A rare right-hand drive 1993 Jaguar XJ220 is available at Bonham’s upcoming Motor Car and Automobilia auction at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Jaguar made 282 XJ220s during its 1992 to 1994 production run, and it’s one of 69 right-hand drive versions.

It’s been serviced exclusively by specialist Don Law Racing and has 7,555 miles from new. Jaguar’s supercar is powered by a Tom Walkinshaw Racing-developed, 3.5-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission.

Bonham’s upcoming Motor Car and Automobilia auction is scheduled for June 24 in Chichester, Goodwood. The auction house estimates that this XJ220 will be sold for £375,000 – £425,000 ($449,508 – $509,443)

Classic Car Auctions is offering a 1997 Reliant Robin at their upcoming CCA Summer Sale 2022. The unique, three-wheel car is finished in British Racing Green Metallic and has less than 92,000 miles. With seating for two it can be driven under a “full motorcycle license” in the United Kingdom.

The Reliant Robin gained notoriety to international audiences after appearing on an episode of Top Gear in 2007. Richard Hammond and James May attempted to make a Robin a reusable space shuttle by attaching booster rockets, in the same manner as a NASA space shuttle.

The booster rockets launched, but the Robin didn’t detach, and everything crashed into the ground. The effort was there, but the execution was lacking.
